We cut these culottes with enough width through the leg that they read almost like a skirt when you stand still. The linen blend feels light, with the soft slub texture of raw flax softened by rayon. An elastic waist with a working drawstring keeps them sitting where you want.

• Skirt pant cut. The leg falls wide and cropped, giving the silhouette of an open skirt with the split coverage of trousers. The hem sits clear of the ankle so fabric does not drag.
• Waistband and drawstring. We built the waist with a broad elastic band that stays flat without pinching. A matching drawstring lets you cinch the fit or leave it loose on the hips.
• Linen rayon blend. The weave combines linen texture with rayon for a lighter drape that vents heat in warm weather. The light gray blue shade shows the natural slubs in the thread.
• Wash and care. Wash by hand or on a gentle cycle in cool water. Hang them to dry rather than using high heat, and steam iron if you want the linen smooth.
