We cut this summer blouse from a light linen-rayon weave that falls straight down the torso. The V-neckline is bordered with narrow lace reinforced along the edge to hold its shape after washing. It fits closer to the shoulder than our boxy tees, with short cap sleeves that leave underarms clear.

• Lace V-neckline. We set narrow lace trim along the open neck with reinforced interior stitching. The band stays flat against the chest rather than curling outward when the fabric softens.
• Cap sleeve cut. Short cap sleeves clear the shoulders without binding at the armholes. The cut keeps excess cloth out of the way when you wear a jacket or knit cardigan over top.
• Linen rayon weave. The linen yarn gives the cloth a dry surface and vents heat in summer sun. Adding rayon softens the hand, reduces harsh creasing, and gives the body a fluid drape.
