We cut these with an open barrel leg that bows wide through the knee and gathers back in toward the ankle. The white linen blend is lightweight and woven for warm days. Contrast topstitching traces the seams down the outer leg to outline the rounded cut.

• Barrel leg shape. The volume starts below the waistband and curves wide past the knee before pulling in at the cropped hem. It hangs clear of the calf so the fabric moves freely when you walk.
• Drawstring elastic waistband. We set a wide elastic band at the top and ran a cloth drawcord through the front. It sits flat across the hips and stays secure without pinching or binding through long afternoons.
