We cut these with extra volume through the hip and thigh, tapering the cloth back in toward the cropped ankle hem. The linen blend is lightweight and breathes well in warm weather. An elastic waist with an adjustable drawcord keeps the fit secure without pinching.

Barrel leg cut. The leg curves out wide through the calf before drawing back inward at the cropped hem. Contrast stitching follows the outer seam line to hold the rounded shape.
Elastic drawstring waistband. We gathered the top edge over an elastic band and threaded a matching drawcord through the casing. You tie it where you want the rise to settle.
Slant side pockets. Two deep slant pockets sit flat along the front hips. They hold small daily items without pulling down on the loose harem seat or distorting the drape.
Linen care and wash. Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water or rinse by hand. Line dry out of direct sun to keep the rose tone intact and allow the weave to soften naturally.
