We built this piece around an undershort liner topped with two gathered ruffle tiers that move like a skirt. The high elastic waistband pulls on flat without hardware, while the lightweight fabric lets air move through the hem. Light Mossy is a pale, herbal green with a faint grey cast.

Tiered outer skirt. Two light tiers fall from the high waistband in loose ruffles, finished with crochet trim along the hem edge. The outer layer moves freely around the inner liner.
Built-in inner short. We set a fitted jersey short underneath the gathered ruffle shell. It stays close while the outer skirt swings, keeping the hem light and unencumbered.
Stretchy elastic waist. A broad band of encased elastic anchors the high rise without drawstrings or zippers. It sits flat across the middle and holds position as you walk.
Wash and care. Machine wash cold with like colours on a gentle cycle to protect the crochet hem. Hang the skort to dry so the ruffles keep their natural shape.
