We cut these palazzo trousers from textured corduroy that holds warmth through cold mornings. An elastic waistband with an adjustable drawstring sits easy at the waist with no hardware to dig in. The legs drop wide and straight down to the shoe.

• Wide leg palazzo cut. The legs fall straight and loose from the hip down, leaving plenty of room to move. That wide hem gives the textured corduroy a clean vertical line as you walk.
• Elastic waist and drawstring. We built the top with a flexible elastic channel and a front tie cord. It pulls on without buttons or zippers, letting you adjust the tension across the waist in seconds.
• Deep side pockets. Two inset side pockets sit flat along the seams. We cut them deep enough to hold a phone, keys, and cards securely without pulling the drape of the trouser out of place.
• Washing and corduroy care. Wash cold by hand or on a gentle machine cycle without bleach to keep the ribbed pile soft. Lay them flat to dry in the shade so the fabric retains its rich brown tone.
