We cut these harem bloomers from a soft, midweight corduroy that holds warmth for cooler days. The silhouette balloons out through the leg and pulls back in at the ankle with a ruffled cuff. An elastic waistband with a matching drawstring keeps the rise resting easily without pinching.

• Gathered lantern leg. The leg swells through the thigh and calf before gathering tightly at the ankle. This lantern shape leaves plenty of room through the seat and creates a soft drape around the lower leg.
