A relaxed lantern leg gives these corduroy pants their loose, rounded shape. We set the waist on wide elastic with an adjustable drawstring so the fit stays put without binding. Deep side pockets sit flat along the seams, and the cuffs gather softly above the shoe in dark coffee brown.

• Lantern leg shape. We gave the legs extra volume through the calf before drawing them back in at the hem. The fabric falls in soft pleats down the side, creating a full bloomer shape that stays off the ankles and lets cold air stay out.
