We cut these loose barrel pants from a textured corduroy that holds heat across cooler days. The silhouette curves out at the knee and tapers gently toward the ankle, framed by double stripes running down each side. An elastic back waistband keeps the rise easy.

• Barrel leg shape. A diagonal cutting seam shapes the outer leg into a wide barrel arc that rounds out before tapering down toward the cuff. The cut hangs clear of the calf.
• Front waistband construction. We built a clean front waistband with a button closure, backed by an elastic panel along the rear. It pulls on without fuss and sits flat against the waist.
• Side stripe splicing. Two white contrast stripes run the full length of the outer seam. The detail breaks up the dark brown corduroy and anchors the shape of the leg.
• Textured corduroy care. Wash cold by hand or on a gentle machine cycle, then lay flat in the shade to dry. The ribbed pile stays soft across regular wear without losing its loft.
