We cut this top closer to the chest than our wide smocked blouses, running straight through the torso without clinging. The rayon and linen blend gives it a light body that softens in warm air. Inset paisley lace edges the neckline for detail that stays flat against the collarbone.

• Rayon linen weave. We mix rayon into the linen yarn to give the weave a smooth face and a supple drop. The fabric lets air pass while holding its shape after hours on the hanger.
• Three quarter sleeves. The sleeves finish below the elbow with a plain turned hem. They give forearm cover without getting caught on table edges or bunching when you bend your arms.
