A barrel cut gives these sweatpants their curved volume through the outer calf before tapering slightly at the bottom. We backed the cotton jersey with a brushed fleece lining to hold heat without feeling stiff. The elastic waistband pulls on easily with an internal drawstring to settle the fit.

• Barrel leg cut. The outer leg arcs out past the knee and pulls inward toward the ankle. This shape keeps fabric away from the shins while maintaining a full, rounded profile.
• Brushed fleece interior. We chose a cotton blend jersey with a soft brushed back that traps warmth across cool days. The fabric holds enough body to support the curved side seams.
• Drawstring waist. The wide elastic band sits flat against the waist. We added an adjustable cord through the casing so you can tighten the fit without altering the loose fall of the hips.
• Deep side pockets. Two inset pockets sit along the forward side seams. They run deep enough to carry a phone and keys without pulling the waist down or warping the silhouette.
