We cut these loose trousers from a soft ribbed corduroy printed with dark coffee polka dots over warm turmeric. The silhouette curves out through the hip and thigh before tapering back in toward the ankle. An elastic waistband with a front button closure keeps the top flat and comfortable all day.

• Barrel leg cut. The leg bows wide through the knee and narrows toward the hem. This curved shape holds its structure away from the legs while keeping the ankle tidy.
• Ribbed corduroy cloth. We selected a medium-weight corduroy with a soft brushed wale. The ribs trap warmth in cooler weather, and the turmeric ground carries the dark dot print cleanly.
• Elastic waist construction. A gathered elastic band sits at the natural waist with a central button closure. It adjusts to your movement throughout the day without binding or pinching.
