We cut these trousers with a curved barrel leg that balloons through the thigh and narrows at the ankle. Soft ribbed corduroy holds warmth for cooler mornings without feeling stiff. An elastic waistband with a front button closure settles naturally without pinching.

• Corduroy and dot print. The base is a soft ribbed corduroy printed with cream polka dots over warm coffee brown. The wale has a light brushed nap that traps heat while keeping enough drape for the wide leg.
• Curved barrel leg. We gave the outer seam a round curve that opens wide around the knee and tapers back in toward the cuffs. It stays loose off the thigh and keeps the fabric from dragging along the floor.
• Elastic and button waist. A gathered elastic band wraps the waist so the fit adapts as you move. We added a clean front button closure to keep the rise flat when worn with a tucked sweater.
• Side pocket construction. Deep side pockets sit along the outer hip seams where the corduroy folds naturally. They carry your phone or keys without pulling the waist down or distorting the slouchy silhouette.
