We cut these joggers from a dense cotton-blend sweatshirting that holds its barrel shape without bagging at the knee. The high rise anchors with an elastic band and a matching cord. Contrast side stripes run the full length of the outer seam to ground the volume.

Barrel leg shape. The pattern bows outward through the thigh and calf before tapering slightly at the bottom. This keeps the volume off the ankles while leaving the leg loose and easy.
Drawstring waistband. A broad elastic channel sits high on the waist and stays put. We threaded a flat drawstring through the front so you can pull the fit tighter when your pockets are full.
Contrast side tape. Sporting stripes run straight down both outer seams in an off-white contrast against the army green knit. The sewn tape reinforces the long side seams to help the pants keep their line.
Pockets and care. Deep side pockets sit along the seam line to take a phone without pulling down the waistband. Machine wash cold with like colours and tumble dry on low to preserve the fleece backing.
