We cut these loose lounge pants from a mid-weight cotton-poly knit that holds its own weight down to the shoe. The waist pulls on over the hips with wide encased elastic and a flat cord. Seamed panels run the length of the leg, opening into a wide flare with tucked pleat details.

• Waistband and cord. The waistband uses broad elastic that sits flat across the middle without bunching up. We run a continuous matching drawstring through stitched eyelets so you can cinch the rise higher or let it sit loose on the hips.
• Panelled flare leg. Vertical panel seams break up the leg and keep the mid-weight knit from bagging out around the knees. Deep tuck pleats release below the thigh, giving the wide hems enough weight to drop straight and swing as you walk.
• Side seam pockets. We set deep pockets right into the side seams so they stay flat when empty. They drop low enough to hold a large phone without pulling on the waistband or distorting the line of the front panels.
• Fabric and wash care. The cotton-blend knit has a brushed, soft face that retains warmth through cooler weather. Machine wash cold with like darks, tumble dry on a low setting, and warm iron if the panel seams need pressing flat.
