A high rise anchors these wide-leg trousers, cut from a breathable linen blend in solid black. An elastic waistband with an adjustable drawstring sits easy above the hips. The legs fall straight and loose to the hem, giving the weave space to move and vent warm air.

• Elastic waist and drawstring. We built the waistband with full elastic and ran an adjustable cord through the casing. Decorative buttons sit down the front placket, keeping the closure flat against the waist.
• Wide palazzo leg. The leg opens wide from the high rise down through the hem. That generous volume lets the linen hang straight, keeping fabric away from the skin in warm weather.
• Inset side pockets. Deep pockets sit along the side seams so you can rest your hands or carry small items. We stitched them flat inside the hip to keep the outer line smooth.
• Washing and care. Wash by hand or on a gentle machine cycle in cool water. Hang them on a line to dry and press with steam while the linen blend is still slightly damp.
