We built these sweatpants out of a substantial cotton blend fleece in solid black. The waistband is ribbed knit so you can wear it folded down or pulled up flat against the waist. Below the hips, the legs bow out wide and taper gently toward the ankles.

• Fold-over ribbed waistband. The tall ribbed band sits flat when worn high or folds over the hips without binding. It stretches easily and stays put through daily wear without needing a cord.
• Barrel leg shape. We gave the legs extra volume through the mid-thigh and knee. Curved seams shape the outward bow before tapering back in toward the open lower hem.
• Front patch pockets. Two deep patch pockets sit flat on the front hips. They are stitched down firmly so they hold everyday items without pulling the waistband down.
• Cotton blend fleece. The fabric is a soft cotton blend with a fleece back that holds warmth in cooler weather. Wash cold with like colours and tumble dry on low heat.
