We cut these palazzo pants with a high rise and a generous wide leg that falls straight from the hip. The coffee stripe pattern runs vertical through the body and turns horizontal at the hem. An elastic back waistband keeps the waist flat across the front.

• Waistband and button detail. We set an elastic section across the back waist to anchor the rise without binding. The flat front features a neat row of buttons that adds structure where the fabric meets your waist.
• Leg cut and contrast hem. The leg falls wide and loose down to the ankles, giving the linen blend room to move and vent heat. We turned the stripe direction along the bottom border to weight the hem and steady the drape.
