We cut these baggy sweatpants with an outward curve through the outer seam to build a barrel profile. The midweight fleece holds its round shape rather than collapsing inward. Finished with an elastic drawstring waist and side pockets in a muted light gray blue.

• Barrel leg cut. The outseam curves outward past the knee before tapering slightly toward the open hem. This builds volume around the mid-calf while keeping the cuff loose over sneakers.
• Waistband and drawcord. A wide elastic band anchors the rise and stays flat against the waist. We ran an inner drawcord through the channel so you can adjust the gather.
• Contrast seam piping. Piping runs down the outer leg along the curved seam line. It gives definition to the bowed shape and keeps the heavy fleece panels sitting square.
• Fabric and cold wash. The soft sweatshirt fleece has enough body to maintain the silhouette without extra bulk. Wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors and tumble dry low or hang.
