We cut these wide-leg trousers from a soft ribbed corduroy that holds heat without stiffening up. The high-rise waist anchors the cut, while vertical front seams give the wide legs clean structure down to the hem. It is a steady, full-cut pant for cold weather.

• Corduroy ribs and drape. The ribbed corduroy weave gives the fabric substance and a soft hand. It holds its shape through the wide leg, trapping warmth as temperatures drop while keeping a fluid drape.
• High rise and front seams. The high-rise waist sits smoothly against the torso. We added straight vertical seams down the front of each leg to guide the volume and keep the profile clean from waist to hem.
