We cut these trousers from a ribbed corduroy that holds warmth while dropping straight from the hip. The high rise anchors the waist so the wide legs can swing freely. Front seam lines give the fabric structure down through the hem.

• High rise waist. The waistband sits high and stays flat across the middle. It anchors the trousers securely without bunching, letting the wide cut drop straight down without pulling at the hips.
• Wide leg cut. We ran vertical seams down the front of both legs to guide the heavy fabric. The cut stays wide down to the shoes, giving you room to move through cold mornings.
• Front patch pockets. Deep square patch pockets sit flat on the front hips. We stitched them wide enough to take a phone or keys without distorting the line of the corduroy.
• Care and wash. Wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors to protect the corduroy ribs. Tumble dry on low or hang them up to dry, then use a warm iron if needed.
