We cut these high-waisted flares from textured corduroy patterned with off-white polka dots over army green. The fabric holds warmth for cooler days without adding stiff bulk. A wide leg runs straight down before finishing in a gathered ruffle hem that moves easily around your shoes.

• Ruffled flare hem. The wide leg opens into a gathered ruffle border along the bottom hem. It adds weight to the bottom edge, letting the corduroy fall straight down without clinging at the calf.
• High elastic waistband. An elastic band circles the entire high waist to pull on without zips or buttons. It lies flat against the waist, holding the trousers up without digging in during long wear.
• Corduroy polka dot cloth. The ribbed corduroy surface holds warmth through fall and winter days. We printed the army green base with pale polka dots, giving the cloth texture you can see and feel.
