We cut these winter trousers with ample room through the seat and thighs before tapering down at the ankles. The ribbed corduroy holds warmth without feeling stiff. A gathered elastic waistband with a matching drawstring lets you set the rise where you want it. This brown shade settles easily into cold-weather dressing.

• Ribbed corduroy cloth. The vertical wales give this fabric weight, soft texture, and natural insulation for cold days. It drapes loosely rather than clinging, softening with every round in the wash.
• Harem cut with tapered hem. We built extra volume through the hips and upper leg, then pulled the fabric in toward the cuffs. That balloon shape keeps movement easy while the narrow hem stays clear of your shoes.
