We cut these everyday trousers from a midweight corduroy that holds warmth without feeling stiff. The high rise gathers on an elastic band with a front button closure, opening into an arched barrel leg that tapers slightly before the ankle. Dusty gray softens the vertical ribs of the cloth.

• Curved barrel leg. The leg arches outward around the knee and tapers back toward the ankle. This structured shape gives the midweight corduroy room to hang away from the skin without trailing on the ground.
• Elastic high waistband. An elastic band circles the high rise to keep the waist steady through movement. We set a clean front button closure at the center so the gathered fabric sits flat under heavier winter layers.
• Front patch pockets. Two oversized patch pockets sit squarely on the front thighs. We stitch them flat along the outer seams so they hold keys and small items without distorting the rounded line of the trousers.
