We cut these everyday trousers from a midweight corduroy that holds warmth for the cooler months. The leg bows out gently through the thigh and tapers back toward the ankle. An elastic waistband sits high and stays put without pinching.

• Curved barrel leg. The leg shape bows outward along the outer seam and pulls in slightly at the cropped hem. This creates volume through the mid-leg while keeping the ankle clear of heavy boots or flat shoes.
• Corduroy texture and weight. We chose a medium-weight corduroy cloth with soft vertical ribs. The fabric has enough body to hold the rounded shape of the leg, softening after each wash while continuing to block cold drafts.
• High elastic waistband. The high waistband uses flexible internal elastic paired with a front button closure. It adjusts naturally when you sit or bend, keeping the fit secure across the waist without binding the middle.
• Deep front patch pockets. Large patch pockets sit flat against the front hips. They are stitched down to carry daily items securely without bunching up or pulling the side seams out of line.
