We cut these cropped sweatpants loose through the leg so warm air moves. The stretch knit is brushed soft and stays opaque through deep bends. We set the elastic waist with a functional drawcord, then dyed the whole run in a solid chocolate brown.

• Elastic drawcord waist. The waistband holds flat against the waist with internal elastic and an exterior cord. You can knot it loosely for lounging or cinch it down when you pick up your pace.
• Cropped wide leg. The leg drops straight from the hip and finishes well below the knee. That loose crop leaves your calves open and keeps excess fabric off your ankles.
• Deep side pockets. We set two open pockets right along the side seams. They sit deep enough to carry a phone without pulling the waistband down or swinging against your knee.
• Soft stretch knit. The knit blend carries generous give without turning sheer under tension. Machine wash cold with like colors and dry flat to keep the brushed surface smooth.
