We cut these knee-length lounge shorts from soft, durable cotton knit with enough stretch for deep bends. The high elastic waistband uses an external drawstring so the fit stays put. Heather Light Gray gives the loose leg a clean look that works around the house or out on a morning walk.

• Waistband and cord. A wide elastic band sits high on the waist. We ran an outer drawstring through the casing so you can tie it tight when carrying a heavy phone.
• Knee length cut. The straight leg drops past mid-thigh and finishes right above the knee. That extra length keeps the hem down when you squat, stretch, or walk.
• Pocket depth. Two deep side pockets hold your essentials without spilling out while seated. We also stitched a patch pocket onto the back for cards or keys.
