We cut these loose trousers from a soft sweatshirt fleece that holds its shape. The leg bows outward through the calf before tapering back toward the ankle. A wide elastic waistband keeps the rise seated, while the attached plaid tie adds a layered finish across the front.

• Barrel leg shape. The outer seams curve outward below the hip and taper slightly at the lower hem. This creates volume through the mid-leg without dragging on the floor or bunching under your shoes.
• Plaid tie waist. A soft plaid panel is stitched directly into the waistband. You can knot it loosely at the front or side to change how the fabric rests across the top of the trouser.
• Elastic waistband and pockets. We anchored the high rise with a broad elastic band that stays flat against the waist. Deep side pockets sit directly along the forward seam to hold small daily items.
• Sweatshirt fleece care. The interior fleece is brushed for warmth during cooler months. Machine wash cold with like colors, then line dry or tumble dry on low to preserve the outer knit texture.
