We cut these trousers from soft ribbed corduroy printed with scattered black dots on beige. The leg bows outward through the thigh and knee, then draws back inward toward the shoe. An elastic waist pulls on without hardware. It gives you room to move on cooler mornings.

• Barrel leg shape. The silhouette carries volume through the hips and mid-leg before tapering slightly at the lower hem. This keeps the wide cut off the ground while leaving the thighs completely unhugged.
• Ribbed corduroy cloth. We chose a medium corduroy with a soft brushed face that holds warmth in cooler weather. The ridges give the cloth substance, so the rounded leg shape holds its line.
• Elasticated waistband. A broad pull-on waistband sits flat against the waist and stretches as you sit or bend. We left out buttons, zips, and stiff interior stays to keep the waist flexible.
• Wash and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to protect the corduroy ribs and printed dots. Hang them up to dry so the pile stays soft and the fabric keeps its natural drape.
