We cut these pants from textured corduroy in Mapleleaf Apricot, shaping the leg with a gentle curve that bows out before tapering toward the ankle. The elastic waist pulls on without hardware. It gives you room through the seat and thighs for cooler days.

• Curved barrel leg. The leg bows outward through the calf and tapers slightly at the hem. That curve creates volume that stays off the lower leg and rests neatly above your shoes.
• Ribbed corduroy cloth. We chose a medium corduroy with raised wales that catch the light in Mapleleaf Apricot. The fabric holds warmth for autumn and softens further as you wash it.
• Pull-on elastic waist. A wide elastic band sits flat at the waist without buttons or zips. It stays in place through a day of movement without pinching or bunching up.
