We cut these pants with wide, bowed legs that build volume through the calves before tapering inward toward the ankle. The corduroy ribs catch the light in a deep forest green while holding enough body to keep the curved shape intact. An elastic waistband with a matching drawcord settles the fit high on the waist.

• Curved barrel leg. The side seams bow out wide past the knee to give the legs their rounded shape. The cut gathers inward at the bottom so the hem sits neatly over sneakers or boots without dragging on the pavement.
• Soft corduroy cloth. We chose a midweight corduroy with fine vertical ribs that trap warmth on cooler days. The fabric is washed for softness, giving the trousers a relaxed drape that moves easily without feeling stiff or heavy.
