We cut these corduroy pants with a curved barrel leg that bows out through the knee and calf before tapering toward the ankle. The high waistband pairs a wide elastic band with an adjustable drawcord so the top stays put without pinching. Dark gray ribbed wales give the fabric structure while keeping the drape soft.

• Barrel leg shape. The outer seam arcs out past the knee and pulls back in at the hem. That curve creates volume through the lower leg while keeping the ankle clear of shoe tops and wet pavement.
• Drawcord waistband. A gathered elastic band sits high on the waist. We ran a soft cord through the channel so you can knot it loose for sitting or tighten it when your pockets are full.
• Dark gray corduroy. The fine-ribbed corduroy holds warmth through cooler months without feeling stiff. Dark gray yarns show the texture of the vertical wales while softening with repeated wash cycles.
