We cut these with a generous arc through the outer leg seam that curves out past the knee and pulls back in at the ankle. The corduroy is lightweight with fine wales that hold warmth without stiffening. A gathered elastic waistband settles at the high waist, tied with an exterior cord.

• Curved barrel leg. The outer seam sweeps outward through the thigh and calf before tapering toward the hem. This shape gives the leg room to move while keeping the cuff neat over shoes, without pooling on the floor.
• Elastic drawstring waist. We built the waistband with a broad band of encased elastic that sits high and flat. The matching front tie lets you adjust the tension so the rise stays set when you sit down.
