We cut these lounge pants with a broad, shirred waistband that sits high or folds down across the hips. The knit fabric carries enough stretch to move freely while falling straight down the leg. In solid green, they give you the ease of a sweatpant without the gathered ankle.

• Shirred high waistband. The wide waistband uses soft elastic gather at the sides. It stays put high on the waist, or you can roll it down once to shorten the rise and change how the hem meets your shoes.
• Wide leg drape. We cut the legs straight and wide from the hip down. The knit cloth has enough weight to fall rather than cling, keeping plenty of space around the calves and ankles as you walk.
• Side seam pockets. Two slanted pockets sit right into the side seams. They are deep enough for a phone and cut flat so they do not add bulk over the hips when your hands are out.
