We cut these loose trousers with a wide crossover waistband that sits high and lies flat. The knit fabric has plenty of stretch and drops straight through the thigh before opening into a curved split hem. It gives your stride full room while keeping the cut light around the ankles.

• V-cross waistband. The front waistband crosses over in a gentle point without a drawcord or zipper. It holds using broad elastic stretch that stays put while you move.
• Curved split hem. We shaped the lower leg with a curved side slit that breaks open around the ankle. It keeps the hem from catching on shoes and lets air move through the cuff.
• Deep side pockets. Two inset side pockets are sewn flat against the hip line. They are deep enough to hold a phone without pulling the waistband down on one side.
• Care and wash. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle with like dark tones to keep the navy deep. Lay flat or hang to dry so the stretch knit keeps its shape.
