We cut these trousers wide through the hip and leg so the corduroy can drop straight without catching. The textured ridges trap warmth during cooler weather, while the smocked waistband pulls on without hardware. Dark coffee gives the heavy ribs a muted, earthy tone.

• Smocked high waistband. We gathered the top with rows of elastic to create a deep waistband that sits high and stays flat. It stretches to pull on easily and holds its place without buttons or a zip.
• Loose palazzo leg. The cut drops straight from the hip down to a wide hem. That open volume gives you room to move and lets the heavier corduroy fabric swing naturally as you walk.
