We cut these with a wide leg and a high crossover waistband that stays flat without pinching. The jersey knit hangs straight down through the thigh, then opens at the outside hem along a curved split. You get the ease of a loose lounge pant with room to move. Side pockets sit deep along the hips.

• Cross front waist. A high pull-on waistband crosses over in front to anchor securely against the torso. The wide elastic construction lies flat without bunching or rolling down while you bend and stretch.
• Curved split hem. The outside edge of each leg splits toward the bottom along a curved line. This opening lets the knit fabric swing freely around the ankles and gives plenty of ventilation during movement.
• Jersey knit drape. We chose a soft, medium-weight stretch jersey in pale light gray. The knit is opaque, holds its shape through the seat, and falls cleanly to the lower hem without clinging.
• Deep side pockets. Two inset pockets are sewn flush along the side seams. They sit deep enough to hold keys or a phone without pulling the waistband down or distorting the line of the hip.
