We cut these wide through the thigh and straight down to the shoe. The waistband crosses in a shallow V at the front, so the elastic holds without biting into your middle. A soft stretch knit gives the legs weight to swing when you walk.

• Crossover elastic waist. The front band overlaps in a clean V shape. It sits high on the hips and distributes tension across the middle rather than cutting in with a single narrow seam.
• Loose straight leg. We gave the leg plenty of ease through the seat and kept the width all the way to the hem. The knit hangs straight down instead of bunching at the ankle.
• Inseam side pockets. Two deep pockets sit right along the side seams. They lie flat against the hip when empty and hold small items without pulling the waistband down.
• Wash and care. Wash cold with dark colours on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or lay flat on a rack so the knit keeps its shape and stretch over time.
