We cut these palazzo trousers wide through the thigh and straight down to a generous hem. The linen blend keeps its drape while letting air move through the weave. An elastic waistband with a matching fabric tie sits high and stays put without pinching.

• Wide palazzo cut. The legs run wide from the hip down, giving the fabric room to sway as you move. A broad bottom hem gives the striped linen enough weight to hang straight instead of clinging.
• Elastic waist and tie. We gathered the top onto a wide elastic band and threaded a self-fabric drawcord through the casing. You adjust the tension yourself, so the rise stays seated high on the waist without digging.
• Dropped side pockets. Two deep pockets sit low along the side seams where your hands land naturally. We anchored the pocket bags into the construction so they do not bunch up or pull the outer stripes out of line.
