We built this piece with two tiered ruffle layers over a pair of fitted undershorts. The high elastic waistband pulls on flat and stays seated as you move. It gives the swing of a short skirt with the practical coverage of shorts underneath.

Tiered outer skirt. Two full ruffle tiers flare out from the waistband down to the hem. The cut adds volume through the outer shell while the inner shorts remain hidden underneath.
Elastic high waist. A wide elastic band sits high on the waist without drawstrings or zips. It stretches for quick pull-on dressing and holds its place through walking and bending.
Built in shorts. The interior shorts are stitched directly to the inner waistband. They provide full base coverage beneath the airy outer ruffles, letting the outer fabric move freely.
Light yellow wash. Machine wash cold with like colors to keep the pale yellow tone clean. Line dry or tumble low, and the soft woven fabric dries quickly without heavy pressing.
