We cut these corduroy pants with extra volume through the hip and a straight, wide leg down to the shoes. Mid gray ribbed wales give the fabric texture and warmth for cold mornings. The elastic waist stays put with an internal tie. If you prefer a closer fit, take one size down.

Elastic waistband and cord. The waistband combines full gathered elastic with a matching drawcord so the waist sits flat without pinching when you sit down. It stays secure without needing a belt.
Straight wide leg. We gave the legs a wide straight cut that drops cleanly from the hips. The hem falls loose over sneakers or boots without catching on the calf.
Mid gray corduroy cloth. Ribbed corduroy brings soft ridges that trap warmth while allowing air through the weave. The mid gray shade shows the texture of each wale clearly.
Care and cold wash. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle to keep the corduroy wales raised and soft. Hang dry or tumble low to avoid crushing the rib texture.
