We cut these cropped pants with a rounded barrel leg and finished the cuffs with open lace. The lightweight linen and rayon weave hangs loose and lets warm air pass through. A wide elastic waistband with a flat drawstring anchors the high rise.

• Lace hem border. The cropped hem ends in a band of open lace stitched flat along the cuff. The openwork lets the lower leg breathe and gives the bottom of the wide leg a lighter finish.
• Elastic drawstring waistband. We gathered the top over a soft elastic band and threaded a matching drawcord through the front. The waistband holds firmly without digging in, sitting high on the waist.
