We cut these cropped palazzo pants from a lightweight linen blend woven with vertical coffee stripes. The silhouette borrows from traditional harem trousers, staying loose through the thigh and calf before finishing with split leg openings. An elastic waist with a functional drawstring keeps the rise where you set it.

• Elastic drawstring waist. The waistband houses a flat elastic strip backed by a matching drawstring cord. It gathers gently without digging in, sitting easy on the hips or higher at the natural waist.
• Harem palazzo leg. We cut the legs wide with a dropped, slouchy line through the hips. Overlapping wrap splits along the outer lower calf let the hems move freely and vent warm air.
