We cut these baggy trousers from a textured dark gray corduroy that holds warmth in cold weather. The high rise sits securely above the hips, while deep front pleats release ample room through the wide legs. A patterned plaid facing finishes each cuff at the hem.

• Front pleat cut. Deep front pleats open below the waistband to give the wide legs their baggy shape. The extra room allows the heavy fabric to drape straight down without pulling across the seat.
• Plaid cuff hem. Each leg finishes with a turned-up cuff lined in a contrasting plaid weave. The turned fabric adds slight weight at the base, keeping the wide leg open and hanging clean over boots.
• Dark gray corduroy. The ridged corduroy ribs trap air to keep out the chill of late autumn and winter. The dark gray wash gives the textured wales a low, muted finish that pairs easily with heavy knitwear.
