We cut these everyday trousers from a lightweight ribbed corduroy that holds warmth without feeling stiff. The high rise gathers into a wide elastic band, dropping into a relaxed harem leg that falls straight to the bottom hem. Two front pockets sit flat against the hip so the line stays clean.

• Wide elastic waistband. The band is cut wide and gathered evenly all the way around. It pulls on easily, sits high on the waist, and stays flat without pinching.
• Loose harem cut. We gave these trousers extra volume through the seat and thighs. Soft pleats at the waist help the wide legs drape straight down without clinging.
• Deep front pockets. Two angled pockets are set directly into the front seams. They are deep enough to hold a phone, keys, or cold hands without pulling the fabric out of shape.
• Corduroy care. Machine wash on a gentle cycle or wash by hand in cool water. Tumble dry on low heat or hang flat, and press with a warm iron if needed.
