We cut these brown corduroy trousers with an exaggerated barrel leg that curves out past the hip and tapers slightly toward the hem. The thick ridges hold their shape while trapping warmth for colder days. A wide elastic waistband with a front drawstring anchors the high rise comfortably without digging in.

• Barrel leg cut. The leg bows outward through the thigh and calf before pulling inward at the ankle. This horseshoe shape keeps fabric away from the skin while giving the heavyweight corduroy structure.
