We cut these cropped pants with a deep crossover waistband that sits flat across the front without digging. The knit fabric stretches four ways and drapes into a wide, loose leg. Side slits at the lower hem let the fabric move freely when you walk.

• Crossover high waistband. The front waistband crosses over in a flat V shape with an elastic core that holds without pinching. We set an extra pocket inside the back waistband alongside the two deep side pockets.
• Wide cropped leg. The leg drops straight and wide from the hip, stopping mid-calf. Slits at the outside hems keep the lower edge from catching across your shins when you sit or stretch.
• Four way stretch knit. We chose a lightweight jersey with generous four-way stretch. It hangs with a smooth, soft weight and keeps its drape through repeated wears in warm weather.
• Wash and care. Machine wash cold with like colors to protect the deep mocha brown tone. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly to avoid setting wrinkles.
