We took dense sweatshirt fleece and shaped it into a wide barrel leg that bows outward through the calf before tapering back at the hem. The waistband sits high with an elastic core and an integrated plaid wrap tie that hangs loose across the front. Deep side pockets keep the lines clean.

• Barrel leg cut. The leg opens wide from the hip, curves out through the knee, and pulls inward slightly above the shoes. This rounded profile gives the heavy knit shape without trailing on the floor.
• Plaid waist tie. A contrasting plaid tie is stitched directly into the high elastic band. You can knot it loosely to add a layer across the flat front without disturbing the pull-on fit.
• Side pockets. We set deep hand pockets into the side seams. They sit flat against the fleece so the rounded shape of the leg stays smooth when your hands are empty.
