We cut these sweatpants with outward-bowing curved seams and knee darts to build a true barrel leg. The cotton-poly fleece brings soft warmth without stiff bulk, and the heather apricot wash gives the casual fleece a softer tint. An elastic waist with a matching cord keeps the fit secure.

Barrel leg shape. Curved outer seams bow out through the thigh and taper slightly at the lower hem. Darts at the knee keep the volume forward so the fleece holds its rounded line when you walk.
Elastic waist and cord. The waistband uses a wide internal elastic band anchored by a dyed-to-match flat drawstring. It sits level without rolling down, letting you adjust the rise as you like.
Cotton blend fleece. We chose a medium-weight cotton-poly fleece with a smooth face and a brushed inner loop. It drapes cleanly over the curved leg panels rather than bunching at the ankles.
Pockets and wash care. Two deep side pockets sit along the forward curve of the hip seam to stay flat. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry on low heat to protect the fleece.
