We cut these cold-weather pants from ribbed corduroy in a deep dark coffee brown. The barrel leg curves out through the thigh and tapers back at the ankle, leaving the calf entirely free. A wide elastic waistband pulls on without hardware.

Curved barrel leg. The leg bows outward below the hip and draws inward toward the hem. This shape holds fabric away from the knee while keeping the hem neat above your shoes.
Elastic pull-on waist. We gathered the top onto a wide elastic band that sits flat against the waist. It pulls straight on without buttons, zippers, or drawstrings to adjust.
Ribbed corduroy cloth. The dark coffee corduroy has distinct vertical ridges that trap heat in cooler weather. The fabric holds enough body to support the bowed leg shape without feeling stiff.
Laundering and care. Machine wash cold or hand wash in cold water to keep the pile soft. Lay the trousers flat in the shade to dry and do not use bleach.
